About the program

The program trains specialists in the development of welding technologies and equipment, the production of new welding materials, the development of methods for studying the properties and structure of welded joints of metals and alloys, processes and devices associated with the production of welded structures, and who are able to manage personnel in the organization and conduct of production.

The student receives a system education that allows him to become a specialist in the field of basic methods of welding, surfacing, spraying, soldering of metals and welding of plastics, in quality control of the resulting welded joints; to gain professional experience in the development of welding technologies and related processes using computer modeling and the use of welding equipment and materials; master theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of a number of branches of science — materials science, automation of technological processes, etc., as well as computer software for research and computer-aided design.

The number of organizations and institutions in which a graduate of this field of training and profile of higher education can carry out professional activities includes design, production, scientific-production and research organizations of engineering profile.

Studies at Moscow Poly

Special courses are delivered by well-known scientists in the field of welding production. In the process of studying the peculiarities of formation of welded joints, both fusion welding of joined materials (electric arc, plasma, electron beam, hybrid, etc.), and welded without melting (diffusion, ultrasonic, explosion, friction, etc.).
Laboratory work and practical classes are conducted in a specialized laboratory of the Department equipped with modern welding equipment.

Graduates of the Department of educational programs of the bachelor's degree "equipment and technology of welding production" will be able to get, along with the Russian diploma, the diploma "International welding engineer IWE".
