About the program
You definitely have a refrigerator at home, and maybe an air conditioner. Shopping centers, stores and warehouses are equipped with refrigeration units for storing food or medicines. Vehicle microprocessors and engines, satellite systems, and spacecraft require cooling. The artificial cold industry intends to annually consume at least 2000 new engineers, but Russian universities produce no more than 200, so the demand for professional graduates of this educational program is quite high.
Program Questions
Graduates are ready for a wide range of tasks in the field of artificial cold, first of all, they are design engineers, but you can also choose the trajectory of service, sales or research of refrigeration equipment and technology.
Graduates are prepared according to a single program, a small difference only in the features of the equipment. The conditional difference between refrigeration and cryogenic equipment is a temperature of 120 Kelvins
Graduates receive a basic set of knowledge on gas liquefaction, which is studied in more detail in our master's program.
All our graduates have the opportunity to get an academic practice at an existing enterprise or research Institute with which Moscow Polytechnic University has an agreement, it means dont' t have to find a place for undergoing on your own. However, if you want to choose a different place for practice, it is also possible to do this by entering into a simple individual practice agreement.
Classes are held mainly in the building on Pavla Korchagina str., 22 at the first courses; profile disciplines are held in the building on Avtozavodskaya street, 16. Class schedule is drawn up so that during one day all lectures are held at the same location.

Performs diagnostics, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment; analyzes the causes of malfunctions; ensures trouble-free operation of refrigeration equipment; maintains district cooling machines and remote cold units (based on Copeland, Dorin, Bitzer compressors).

Design engineer (refrigeration equipment)

Performs 3D modeling in Solidworks/Inventor; develops design documentation for refrigerating machines and modular equipment (prom. cold).
