Students of the 3rd year of the educational program "Integration and Programming in CAD" of the it Faculty of Moscow Polytechnic University won the International Grant "Forge Research" in the amount of $ 3,000 from the largest it company Autodesk.

As part of the project activities under the guidance of teachers Anton Tolstikov and Andrey Dzhunkovsky, students led by Andrey Arkhipov developed an application for the preparation of interactive electronic technical manuals based on the Autodesk Forge platform. The development allows you to combine 3D models of complex products with instructions for proper use or training.

The first prototype of the app was developed as part of the "Forge of 3D solutions" hackathon held at Moscow Polytechnic University in 2019. It took the first place. Over the next three months, the prototype was redesigned, the interface and structure of the manual were changed, animations were used, and new annotations made in Autodesk Fusion 360 were added.

This is the second grant from our University. Two years ago, students developed the MicroScribe-Digitizer app, which is available in the Apps.Autodesk store.
