Summing Up by Vladimir Miklushevskii

Today, on April 29, a meeting of the Academic Council of Moscow Polytechnic University was held. The President of the university, Vladimir Miklushevskii, summed up the results of the university's work for 2020.

Firstly, with the beginning of the pandemic, the educational process was quickly transferred to the online mode, and most administrative processes are also performed remotely. Regular PCR testing revealed 185 sick students (2%) and 114 employees (5%). From April 2020 to the present, more than 100 volunteers carried out more than 1,900 deliveries of food and basic necessities for those living in university dormitories.

Regular PCR testing revealed 185 sick students (2%) and 114 employees (5%). From April 2020 to the present, more than 100 volunteers carried out more than 1,900 deliveries of food and basic necessities for those living in university dormitories.

The university's information resources have been significantly developed: The new website of the Moscow Polytechnic University has collected seven awards at three prestigious competitions of Internet sites, a Telegram channel was created, and the number of subscribers to official Instagram and YouTube accounts has increased.

During the admission campaign, 17 open days were held in the online format, which were watched by more than 30,000 people, 95 videos about the university were prepared (more than 260,000 views), 171 online events were held for applicants (more than half a million viewers). 83% of the total number of applicants to the university in 2020 (9,806 people) applied for admission through their personal account.

Investments in the amount of 104 million rubles are aimed at upgrading the infrastructure: a fund for increased comfort has been created in five dormitories, sanitary rooms and common kitchens have been renovated and equipped, windows and partitions and elevators have been replaced. In five academic buildings, classrooms were repaired and equipped, the roof was repaired, and work was carried out to improve the adjacent territory of the location on Bolshaya Semyonovskaya. Four municipal centers were opened in the academic buildings on Bolshaya Semyonovskaya st., Avtozavodskaya str., Pryanishnikova str. and Pavla Korchagina str. In addition, new furniture was purchased and installed for the classrooms of the Project Activity Center, coworking spaces in recreation areas were equipped with furniture, current repairs were made in four gyms, and equipment was purchased for all dormitories. With the participation of university students, design projects for the design of public spaces are developed.

Vladimir Miklushevskii paid special attention to the Priority 2030 program, which is fully linked to the achievement of the National Development Goals of Russia until 2030 and the corresponding national projects. The main focus of the university is transport engineering: electric vehicles and cars with combined power plants, automobile platforms, including sports cars, autonomous (unmanned) vehicles and connected vehicles.
