Flying Robotics competition

Moscow Poly hosted the opening ceremony of Laboratory “Flying robotics”, followed by the competition final “CopterHack 2021”.

The event was held both in online and offline forms. The online broadcast was held in two languages: Russian and English. The participation in the Zoom conference was available for everyone free of charge.

One of the main Laboratory tasks is to encourage students` interest in developing, constructing and programming of autonomous quadcopters.

Different educational programs on construction, assembly and programming configurations of quadcopters are conducted on the base on the Laboratory. It is the place where anyone can realize his or her project, have a professional consultation and use 3D-printing. The Laboratory has all required equipment for the preparation before the WorldSkills, STI Olympiad, Robofest, Robofinist and other competitions”, - said Pavel Shishkin, the Head of the Laboratory.

The opening ceremony was followed by the finals of the international competition on the flying robotics “CopterHack 2021”. 54 teams from 12 countries took part in the competition. The participants had been working on their projects, writing monthly updates and receiving feedback from the competition`s jury during last 5 months.

16 teams made it to the finals and presented their projects. The prize fund of the competition is 350 thousand rubles (1st place – 200 thousand, 2nd place – 100 and the 3rd place – 50 thousand).

The winners of the competition:

 

-         “FTL” team (1st place);

-         “Easy To Fly” team 92nd place);

-         “ADDI” team (3rd place).

There was also a public vote procedure. The “DroMap” team won this nomination and received the Audience Award prize – “Clever” quadcopter.
