“Do/Do” exhibition will open at September 18, 2021, at the “On Kashirka” gallery of “Moscow Exhibition Halls” association (Academica Millionshikova street, 35, 5).
“Do/Do” is a creative project dedicated to the double anniversary of Russian writers – F.M. Dostoevsky and C.D. Dovlatov. It is a visual dedication and investigation of great writer’s legacy by the means of visual art, including separate personal and artistic stories, united at one place. The name of the exhibition paraphrases names of both writers, divided from each other by 120 years.
Most of the works, submitted to the exhibition, are the results of the work of students from Moscow Poly’s Favorsky Institute of Graphics and Book Art (“Illustration and print”) and Institute of Business and Design. Guests will see not only students’ works but also ones of faculty teachers.
Exhibit includes traditional book illustrations, easel graphic works, textile sculpture, modern 3D-installations, art-videos, collage.
Exhibition will also hold curatorial excursions, meeting of teachers and students of two universities, online meeting with authors and curators, film exhibitions.
Opening-day will take place at September 18, 18:00.
